This collection was born thanks to a collaboration with Mordakhai, a historic carpet store located in the historic center of Bologna.
The creation of this unique piece was possible thanks to the attention to the recovery of ancient carpets owned by Gabriele together with Alessia and Davide.
Many of the rescued carpets could no longer have their function, because they are worn out by time and use. Turning them into bags, Saisei managed to recover all those parts that are still healthy or at least "aged" well.

SAISEI is a Japanese word that means regeneration and rebirth: these are the founding principles of the brand.
The collections are created by repurposing materials like old hand-knitted hemp canvas, military tents, antique carpets.
Thanks to a creative and accurate work, such waste are transformed into unique bags.
